Jamie Kay Titzer, WHNP-BCCaring for patients provides a great reward for me. I love to educate women on their health as well as issues that women may be experiencing throughout their life. I was born and raised in Evansville, Indiana. I went to North High School, where I took Health Occupation classes that allowed me to participate in clinical observations at The Women’s Hospital. I did a rotation in obstetrics and gynecology where I then began to have a passion for nursing and health care. I decided to attend Indiana University in Bloomington right after high school. My sophomore year was when I got accepted into the nursing school. During my years in nursing school, I worked as a student nurse intern on a medical surgical floor and the ortho/neuro floor at St. Mary’s Hospital in Evansville. In addition, I worked as a nursing assistant at Southern Indiana Pediatrics in Bloomington, Indiana. After four years at IU, I received my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in May 2008. After becoming a registered nurse in Indiana, I decided to pursue my masters at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee in the fall of 2008. I was then accepted into the Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) program. I graduated from Vanderbilt in August 2009. I was fortunate to meet Dr. Cindy Basinski, and perform my Vanderbilt clinical hours through her practice. I am very grateful to be working for her and caring for her patients. I am engaged to a wonderful man named Brad, and will be getting married next summer. EDUCATION Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
